Saw Kerf

Saw kerf skins are planks that retain the original saw marks produced in a mill that was using a circular saw. When the teeth of a circular saw broke, it would mark in the wood, creating a distinct pattern. The marks are sometimes used to create a feeling of hand-hewn planking. Today, all wood is cut with band saws rather than circular saws, making kerf skins a valuable option. The species of saw kerf skins are pine or oak with color tones of light greys or honey tones.
