Hand Hewn Beams

Hand-hewn beams carry many of the same characteristics as our old patina beams, but their rough ax marks set them apart from other products. These ax marks were created more than a hundred years ago by the beams' original owners. Before saws were readily available, most beams were squared up by hand, sized up by timberwrights using only one tool: their axes.
